What to do

Capture a delivery charge according to where and how it is printed. It may be a normal item row, a separate summary charge, or included in a quoted price. Keep that distinction so the same amount is not counted twice.

An invoice for goods with delivery is different from a carrier invoice containing several shipment-related charges.

Two worked review cases

These cases are fictional teaching data, not measured extraction results. Use the source excerpts to practise deciding what belongs in the reviewed output.

CaseFictional source excerptReview decision
Summary chargeGoods 150.00; delivery 12.00; total before tax 162.00Record the 12.00 summary addition separately from goods.
Included chargeDelivery included; goods total 150.00Preserve the note; do not invent an additional freight amount.

Suggested review columns

ColumnDefinition or instruction
Summary freightPrinted delivery amount outside the item table, if shown.
Delivery itemA delivery charge appearing as an item row, retaining its row identity.
Freight noteSource wording such as included or no charge.

These are suggested staging-sheet columns. Printed facts can inform field descriptions in Parzable’s Schemas view; source references, review statuses, and decisions must be supplied by your own review process.

A practical review sequence

  1. Inspect both the item table and the totals block for delivery wording.
  2. Record whether the charge is already represented among extracted item rows.
  3. Reconcile the printed summary without adding the same charge again.

Errors to avoid

  • Do not interpret “included” as an unknown positive charge.
  • Shipment identifiers do not necessarily identify separate supplier invoices.

Use the case worksheet with a small sample

Download this page’s worked-case worksheet. It contains the two fictional cases above and a blank row for your own review exercise. Keep any real source documents in your agreed storage process.

For the broader product workflow, see the related guide. Parzable accepts PDF/image inputs and downloads CSV. Suggested structures here are review targets; nested item rows, automatic approvals, and destination integrations are not guaranteed.
