What to do

Correct obvious orientation and inspect skew when a table’s columns are difficult to follow. Preserve the original and work on a copy. After rotating, confirm the page is not clipped and that its reading order remains sensible.

A page turned 90 degrees and a slightly slanted page are different capture issues.

Two worked review cases

These cases are fictional teaching data, not measured extraction results. Use the source excerpts to practise deciding what belongs in the reviewed output.

Suggested review columns

Orientation correctionRotation or deskew action recorded by the reviewer.
Post-correction checkConfirmation that text and margins remain complete.

These are suggested staging-sheet columns. Printed facts can inform field descriptions in Parzable’s Schemas view; source references, review statuses, and decisions must be supplied by your own review process.

A practical review sequence

  1. Determine whether the issue is orientation, skew, or perspective distortion.
  2. Apply the correction to a copy using an approved document tool.
  3. Recheck source details and compare a small extraction before and after.

Errors to avoid

  • Do not crop a page merely to make it look straight.
  • Rotation does not fix blur, glare, or perspective distortion by itself.

Use the case worksheet with a small sample

Download this page’s worked-case worksheet. It contains the two fictional cases above and a blank row for your own review exercise. Keep any real source documents in your agreed storage process.

For the broader product workflow, see the related guide. Parzable accepts PDF/image inputs and downloads CSV. Suggested structures here are review targets; nested item rows, automatic approvals, and destination integrations are not guaranteed.
