What to do
Record the rental period, equipment reference, billing unit, charge, and any deposit or extra fee under their printed roles. Day, week, and month rates have different bases. Do not calculate an absent charge by counting dates without the rental agreement’s reviewed rules.
An invoice can mix equipment hire, delivery, damage charges, and deposit movements.
Two worked review cases
These cases are fictional teaching data, not measured extraction results. Use the source excerpts to practise deciding what belongs in the reviewed output.
| Case | Fictional source excerpt | Review decision |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly charge | Example lift: 2 weeks × 250.00; 500.00 | Keep weeks as the billing unit. |
| Deposit separate | Hire 500.00; refundable deposit requested 100.00 | Preserve the source roles; do not label the deposit as hire revenue or expense. |
Suggested review columns
| Column | Definition or instruction |
|---|---|
| Equipment reference | Printed equipment or asset identifier. |
| Rental period and rate basis | Dates, quantity, and daily/weekly/monthly wording as shown. |
| Charges and deposit detail | Printed line amounts and separately labelled deposit entries. |
These are suggested staging-sheet columns. Printed facts can inform field descriptions in Parzable’s Schemas view; source references, review statuses, and decisions must be supplied by your own review process.
A practical review sequence
- Capture period and rate basis before checking any arithmetic.
- Separate equipment, transport, and deposit rows in the review target.
- Refer disputed dates, extra fees, or deposit treatment to the responsible reviewer.
Errors to avoid
- Do not assume inclusive or exclusive date counting from the invoice alone.
- Do not treat a deposit request as proof of receipt or refund.
Use the case worksheet with a small sample
Download this page’s worked-case worksheet. It contains the two fictional cases above and a blank row for your own review exercise. Keep any real source documents in your agreed storage process.
For the broader product workflow, see the related guide. Parzable accepts PDF/image inputs and downloads CSV. Suggested structures here are review targets; nested item rows, automatic approvals, and destination integrations are not guaranteed.
