What to do
Confirm that the file contains the entire invoice, with pages in order and readable required sections. A correct heading and total cannot establish that all item rows or continuation pages were received. Use page numbering and continuity evidence together.
Not every page carries the invoice number, so grouping requires inspecting content as well as headers.
Two worked review cases
These cases are fictional teaching data, not measured extraction results. Use the source excerpts to practise deciding what belongs in the reviewed output.
| Case | Fictional source excerpt | Review decision |
|---|---|---|
| Missing middle page | Received pages labelled 1 of 3 and 3 of 3 | Hold the document and request page 2. |
| Repeated page | A PDF includes page 2 twice and omits page 3 | Correct the page set before item-count or total review. |
Suggested review columns
| Column | Definition or instruction |
|---|---|
| Expected pages | Page count indicated by the document or intake record. |
| Received pages | Observed page set and order. |
| Completeness exception | Missing, repeated, cropped, or unrelated pages requiring review. |
These are suggested staging-sheet columns. Printed facts can inform field descriptions in Parzable’s Schemas view; source references, review statuses, and decisions must be supplied by your own review process.
A practical review sequence
- Inspect every page, including totals-only and continuation pages.
- Compare page labels and content continuity with the expected source set.
- Request missing evidence before treating any incomplete result as final.
Errors to avoid
- Do not assume a file with three pages contains the correct three pages.
- Do not group unrelated invoice pages solely because they arrived in one attachment.
Use the case worksheet with a small sample
Download this page’s worked-case worksheet. It contains the two fictional cases above and a blank row for your own review exercise. Keep any real source documents in your agreed storage process.
For the broader product workflow, see the related guide. Parzable accepts PDF/image inputs and downloads CSV. Suggested structures here are review targets; nested item rows, automatic approvals, and destination integrations are not guaranteed.
