What to do

Photograph the whole invoice with the camera parallel to the page, steady focus, and even lighting. Check the smallest identifiers and decimal marks at full size. A readable heading is not enough if item prices are blurred or a lower corner is cropped.

Prefer the original digital document when available instead of photographing a screen displaying it.

Two worked review cases

These cases are fictional teaching data, not measured extraction results. Use the source excerpts to practise deciding what belongs in the reviewed output.

Suggested review columns

ColumnDefinition or instruction
Capture filenameIdentifier of the photo retained in the source manifest.
Page coverageReviewer confirmation that all page edges and required text are visible.
Critical text checkReview note for smallest required number or identifier.

These are suggested staging-sheet columns. Printed facts can inform field descriptions in Parzable’s Schemas view; source references, review statuses, and decisions must be supplied by your own review process.

A practical review sequence

  1. Place the page flat and avoid background clutter or fingers over text.
  2. Capture a steady image and inspect amounts before submitting.
  3. Keep multiple pages in order and confirm they belong to the same invoice.

Errors to avoid

  • Do not rely on thumbnail appearance to judge small print.
  • A photo editor cannot restore text that was never captured clearly.

Use the case worksheet with a small sample

Download this page’s worked-case worksheet. It contains the two fictional cases above and a blank row for your own review exercise. Keep any real source documents in your agreed storage process.

For the broader product workflow, see the related guide. Parzable accepts PDF/image inputs and downloads CSV. Suggested structures here are review targets; nested item rows, automatic approvals, and destination integrations are not guaranteed.
